Diplomová práce je zaměřena na teoretická východiska práce se seniory v souvislosti s výkonem canisterapie. Pozornost je věnována přípravné části canisterapeutické práce, která respektuje specifika cílové skupiny. Obsahem teoretické části jsou mimo jiné konkrétní příklady výsledků canisterapeutického působení. Hlavním záměrem diplomové práce je přestavit canisterapii jako vhodnou volnočasovou aktivitu zacílenou na seniory. Cílem empirické části práce je zodpovězení výzkumných otázek na základě informací získaných od kvalifikovaných pracovníků.This thesis focuses on the theoretical basis of work with senior citizens in connection with the performance of canistherapy. Attention is also given to the preparation phase of the canistherapeutic work that respects the peculiarities of the target group. The theoretical part includes specific examples of the results of canisterapeutic effects. The main aim of the thesis is to present canistherapy as a suitable leisure activity targeted at seniors. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to answer the research questions based on the information obtained from qualified workers.
