(162 945 znaků) + 1 CD. -- Ved. práce Martin Schlossarek. -- Oponent Kateřina Dostálová. -- Abstract: Tématem práce je válečný konflikt v Demokratické republice Kongo a peacebuildingové aktivity, které jsou v souvislosti s ním realizovány. Teoretická část práce se zabývá především definicí kritických pojmů, jako je konflikt nebo peacebuilding, dále potom historií a analýzou současného stavu konfliktu (s důrazem na peacebuildingové aktivity), včetně role jednotlivých aktérů v něm. Výzkumná část práce obsahuje případové studie mírových projektů EU a OSN. Konkrétně se jedná o misi Artemis v gesci EU a misi MONUC provedenou OSN. Obě mise jsou uvedeny do kontextu a jejich výsledky, které si v rámci mandátu předsevzaly obě organizace, jsou identifikovány a vyhodnoceny pomocí kritické analýzy a logické argumentace. Obě mise z velké části svůj mandát naplnily, ovšem kritické hlasy směřují zejména na roli Francie v misi Artemis (její geopolitické zájmy) nebo na příliš úzké časové a geografické vymezení. U mise MONUC se kritika zaměřila na neschopnost ukončit systematické násilí a na nevhodně sestavený model celé mise.. -- Abstract: The topic of the work is the war conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the peacebuilding activities that are carried out in connection with it. The theoretical part of the thesis deals mainly with the definition of critical concepts, such as conflict or peacebuilding, then the history and analysis of the current state of conflict (with emphasis on peacebuilding activities), including the role of individual actors in it. The research part of the thesis contains case studies of EU and UN peace projects. Specifically, it is the EU-led Artemis mission and the UN-led MONUC mission. Both missions are put into context and their results, which are agreed by both organizations within the mandate, are identified and evaluated through critical analysis and logical argumentation. Both missions have largely fulfilled their mandates, but critical voices are directed mainly at the role of France in the Artemis mission (its geopolitical interests) or at the too narrow timing and geographical delimitation. At MONUC, criticism focused on the inability to end systematic violence and on an improperly designed model for the entire mission.
