The aim of this work was to determine whether the noise in the form of baby crying has an effect on experiencing stress. Consequently, whether the level of this stress can affect the performance of paramedics. In order to find out, an in-object experiment on two model situations was used. These model situations were almost identical and their purpose was to provide pre-hospital care to infants, where in one situation there was a crying model and in the other situation there was a model without crying. The experience of stress and its effect on physiological functions was monitored using the Amazfit Bip smartwatch, and students were simultaneously evaluated in model point situations. A statistically significant difference in heart rate and the number of points obtained was demonstrated between participants in a model situation with crying and non-crying infant. The heart rate and the number of points obtained were not affected by the order of visit of these model situations. A completely negligible correlation between the number of points and the heart rate in the model situation with the crying infant and a negligible negative correlation between the heart rate and the number of points in the model situation without crying were demonstrated. The interviews show that students evaluate very positively the opportunity to try out situations that they often do not experience during intervention and therefore they have the opportunity to practise. Follow-up work should be focused on communication situations that are associated with social evaluation.
