Predkladaná diplomová práca s názvom Fenomén holocaustu v izraelskej politike pojednáva o fenoméne holocaustu a jeho významnej pozícii pri utváraní národnej identity po založení štátu Izrael. Autor sa na pozadí komplikovaného vývoja židovskej identity z prelomu 19. a 20 stor. snaží objasniť dôvody, kvôli ktorým počas Druhej sv. vojny došlo k udalostiam holocaustu a následne analyzovať odkaz tejto historickej udalosti pri utváraní národnej identity v židovskom štáte Izrael, či židov žijúcich v diaspore. Autor v práci sleduje postupnú redefiníciu odkazu tejto historickej udalosti, ktorá sa z historického vnímania preniesla do roviny politickej a postupne sa etablovala, ako významný politický nástroj v domácej, či zahraničnej politike štátu Izrael. Autor toto tvrdenie opiera o dominantné teoretické koncepty predstaviteľov tzv. Novej školy izraelských historikov. Prvým konceptom je koncept výnimočnosti- siege mentality a druhým tzv. koncept politiky večnej obete. Autor sa zodpovedaním jednotlivých hypotéz práce snaží ponúknuť nestrannú percepciu transformácie odkazu holocaustu a obhájiť fakt, že holocaust slúžil ako legitimizačný nástroj pre vyhlásenie, budovanie a udržanie existencie štátu Izrael a dnes je pevnou súčasťou izraelskej politiky a kľúčovým zdrojom jeho identity.This diploma thesis entitled The Phenomenon of the Holocaust in Israeli politics deals with the phenomenon of the Holocaust and its significant role in shaping national identity after the foundation of Israel. The author has a background of creating complicated Jewish identity from 19th and 20th century seeks to clarify the reasons why the period during World war II brought the events of the Holocaust and then to analyze the significance of this historic event in shaping the national identity of Israel in the newly created state of Israel. Author also reflect the gradual redefinition of reference of this historical event into political plans that the Holocaust has made a political tool present in domestic or foreign policy. This statement author based on theoretical concepts of a New school of Israeli historians - the concept of siege mentality and the perpetual internal victimhood orientation. Diploma thesis answering various hypotheses work strives to offer a neutral perception transformation the Holocaust and defend the assertion that the Holocaust served as a legitimizing tool for the declaration, building and maintaining the existence of the state of Israel and today is an integral part of Israeli politics and a key source of his identity.
