This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is dedicated to the geology of Silesicum, especially its development, metamorphism and magmatism. This part also describes different rocks that occur in the Silesicum. One of the rocks found there is metadolerite. Practical part is further divided to the field stage and to the laboratory stage. Field collection of metadolerite samples was performed in four selected areas based on our geological map. Rock cuts were examined during the laboratory stage using light and electron analytic microscopy. Goal of this thesis was to examine and compare metadolerite samples, to search for differences between samples, and compare acquired knowledge with literary data.
