Cílem této práce je snaha popsat fenomén české literární secese v kontextu umělecké moderny z konce 19. století a snaha nalézt pro tento jev odpovídající pozici v literatuře období tzv. fin de siécle. Z hlediska syntetické funkce secesního ornamentu, která odráží množství uměleckých prostředků české literární moderny, se zaměříme nejen na samotnou dekorativnost secesního ornamentu, ale i na jednotlivé funkce uměleckých tendencí, které v analyzovaných dílech převažují. Na českou literární secesi je v práci nahlíženo nikoliv jako na jednotný umělecký směr, ale jako na celek umělecké moderny, který v sobě nese díky svému syntetismu zárodky moderního umění.Závěr práce se soustředí na specifika jednotlivých uměleckých postupů a prostředků vyskytujících se v secesním ornamentu a rovněž je jeho smyslem otevřít novou perspektivu pro aktuální hodnocení české literární secese z přelomu 19. a 20. století.The aim of this thesis is to describe the phenomenon of Czech literary secession in context of art´s modern from the end of the 19th century and effort to find an appropriate position for this phenomenon in literature from epoch fin de siécle. From the point of view of synthetic function of secessionist´s ornament, which has reflected lots of art´s means of Czech literary modern, we will concentrate not only on the decoration role of secessionist´s ornament, but also we will focuse on individual´s functions of art´s tendency, which are prevailing in analyzing texts. In our point of view is not Czech literary secession an unified artistic movement, but complex of art´s modern, which has essence of modern art on the grounds of synthetism. The conclusion of this work focuses on the presentation of specifics of individuals art´s tendency in secessionist´s ornament and also opens up a new perspective for actual evaluation of Czech literary secession from the turn of the19th and 20th century.
