Disertační práce se věnuje aktuálnímu tématu muzejní pedagogiky, kterým je vztah a kooperace muzea a školy. Výzkumné téma je uvedeno do širšího kontextu celkového edukačního potenciálu muzea, který je specifikován z hlediska historického vývoje a podle různých typů vzdělávání. Přínosem teoretické části je syntéza muzeologických a pedagogických poznatků a zavedení termínu muzejní edukace. Výzkumná část kvantitativními metodami zkoumá, jak edukační potenciál muzea vnímá nastupující generace pedagogů. Cílem bylo popsat jejich vztah k muzejní edukaci a zjistit, jaké požadavky (coby předpoklad spolupráce) směrem k muzeu kladou. Výzkum přináší poznatky o problematice návštěvnosti a konkrétní podněty pro práci muzeí. Ta by měla vytvářet bohatou nabídku edukačních programů, pracovat na zlepšení svých expozic a naplnit koncept "přátelského muzea". Spolupráci se školou mohou muzea podpořit návazností programů či expozic na kurikulum a zohledněním potřeb školních skupin. Implementace těchto podnětů do praxe může výrazně přispět k využití jedinečného edukačního potenciálu muzea.The dissertation deals with the topic of museum education - the relationship and cooperation between museums and schools. The research focuses on a broader context of museum educational potentials, which is specified according to its historical development and various types of education. The theoretical part attempts to synthesize the concepts of museology and pedagogy and defines the term of museal education. The research part uses quantitative methods to explore how is the educational potential of the museum perceived by the new generation of educators. The author's aim was to describe their relationship to museal education and find out, what they request of museums, which is a prerequisite to the possibility of cooperation. The research presents findings about museum attendance and suggestions for improval. Museums should offer a wide variety of educational programs, focus on improving their expositions, and follow the concept of a "friendly museum". Museums, in cooperation with schools, ought to support interlinking of programs and exhibitions with the school curricula and adjust to the needs of particular pupil groups. Museums have a unique educational potential that can be put into life by implementing the above described concepts in the museum workflow.
