De Gaulle, který čerpal legitimitu zejména z druhé světové války, by se však neobešel bez podpory klíčových složek ve společnosti a soudobých okolností, jako byla Alžírská krize.The thesis deals with the political ideas of Charles de Gaulle, that have given the political base of the Fifth Republic of France. These ideas were particularly marked by the strengthening of the executive. Their execution would not have been possible without the Gaulle´s return to power. De Gaulle, who drew mainly from the legitimacy of the Second World War, should be able to sized the power without the support of key elements in society and contemporary circumstances, such as the Algerian crisis.
