Matrix metaloproteinázy (MMP) hrají roli v patogenezi chronických zánětlivých onemocněních plic jako je chronická obstrukční plicní nemoc (CHOPN) a astma bronchiale (AB). Nicméně je velmi malé množství klinických studií, které se zabývají studiem exprese matrix metaloproteinázy 14 (MMP14). V této práci byla použita bronchoalveolární laváž (BAL) k určení exprese genu MMP14 u pacientů s CHOPN nebo AB. Cílem této práce bylo změřit expresi MMP14 u 22 pacientů s CHOPN, 14 pacientů s AB a u 25 kontrolních pacientů. Pomocí RT-PCR (polymerázové řetězové reakce v reálném čase) byla měřena relativní exprese genu MMP14. Výsledkem byla snížená exprese genu MMP14 obou skupin pacientů s CHOPN (p = 0,0001) nebo s AB (p = 0,0001) oproti kontrolní skupině. Mezi pacienty s CHOPN nebo AB nebyl zaznamenán signifikantní rozdíl v expresi genu MMP14. However, there is little information on MMP14 in clinical studies. We, therefore, investigated the bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) for the expression of MMP14 in COPD and AB patients. The aim of this work was measured MMP14 in BAL of 22 COPD patients, 14 AB patients and 25 control subjects. The real -time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to analyze the relative expression of this gene. We investigated that the relative expression of MMP14 was decreased in both groups of COPD (p = 0.0001) and AB (p = 0.0001) patients compared with control subjects. There was no significant difference between the COPD and the AB patients. The downregulation of MMP14 should be further investigated in clinical studies with a larger number of patients
