Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou aktivizace seniorů v domovech pro seniory. V teoretické části je vymezeno období stáří, jsou v ní vyjmenovány změny se stářím spojené a rovněž potřeby osob v seniorském věku, dále jsou v ní popsány sociální služby pro seniory a v neposlední řadě aktivizační metody využívané v domovech pro seniory. V empirické části byly pomocí dotazníků zjišťovány nabízené aktivizační činnosti v domovech pro seniory v České republice a aspekty na straně zařízení, které mohou ovlivňovat nabídku aktivizačních činností a zájem uživatelů těchto zařízení o nabízené aktivity.The diploma thesis deals with the activation of seniors in homes for the elderly. In the theoretical part is defined the age period, are described the changes associated with old age as well as the needs of people in the elderly, then are described social services for seniors and last but not least the activation methods used in homes for the elderly. In the empirical part the questionnaires were used to find out the activating activities offered in homes for the elderly in the Czech Republic and aspects that may influence the offer of activation activities and the interest of users of these facilities in the offered activities.
