Cílem diplomové práce bylo na pozadí sociálně-politické a demografické reality reflektovat pohled specifické skupiny seniorů na oblast sociálních služeb s důrazem na informovanost, zkušenosti a ochotu participovat na jejich rozvoji. Teoretická část popisuje koncepty, pojmy a kategorie vztahující se k oblastem tvořícím rámec a východisko práce jako jsou sociální práce a politika, sociální služby a jejich plánování, demografické souvislosti stárnutí či edukace seniorů. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky kvantitativního výzkumného šetření zaměřeného na identifikaci postojů účastníků konkrétní univerzity třetího věku k sociálním službám v Brně včetně vyhodnocení vlivu vybraných sociodemografických znaků na ně.Taking into account the context of specific socio-political and demographic realities, this thesis aims to examine how a specific group of senior citizens views social services and specifically focuses on their knowledge, experience and willingness to participate in their further development. The theoretical section describes the concepts, terminology and categories associated with areas which constitute the framework and basis for the thesis, including e.g. social policy and social work, social services and their planning, the demographic context of ageing and education for elderly citizens. The practical part of the thesis includes the results of quantitative research which identifies the specific attitudes of University of the Third Age participants to social services in the city of Brno, including the evaluation of the influence of selected socio-demographic factors.
