Problematika civilizací je jedním z nejdiskutovanějších témat v soudobé historické sociologii. V této závislosti práce zjišťuje, zda teoretické koncepce S. P. Huntingtona a J. Krejčího vycházejí ze stejných předpokladů, nebo se od sebe liší. První část práce syntetizuje vývoj vybraných civilizačních teorií na přelomu 80. a 90. let. Další část analyzuje Huntingtonovo a Krejčího pojetí civilizací. V závěrečném pojednání jsou srovnány a kriticky zhodnoceny získané informace z analýzy pojetí obou autorů v rámci nastavených kritérií, které zároveň charakterizují odlišnosti a podobnosti jejich pojetí.The issue of civilizations is one of the most discussed topics in contemporary historical sociology. In this dependence work determines whether the theoretical concepts of S. P. Huntington and J. Krejci are based on the same assumptions or differ from each other. The first part synthesizes development of selected civilization theories in late 80s and 90s. Next part analysis Huntington's and Krejci's concept of civilizations. In the final discussion are compared and critically evaluated and informations obtained from the analysis of both authors within the set criteria which also characterize the differences and similarities of their concepts.
