Tématem této bakalářské práce je analýza vybraných ženských postav seriálu Firefly v kontextu žánru western a sci-fi. Práce je rozdělená na teoretickou a analytickou část. V teoretické části se věnuje charakteristice žánru a jeho problematice, literatuře, o kterou se tato práce opírá a zvolené metodologii a jejím východiskům. Analytická část práce pak zkoumá, jak jsou ženské postavy konstruované a jaký vliv mají na jejich výstavbu žánry western a sci-fi. Zároveň ale také sleduje, jak samotné ženské postavy tyto žánry svou stavbou narušují a tím pádem ovlivňují.The topic of this Bachelor work is to analyze selected female characters from the Firefly series in the context of western and sci-fi genre. The work is divided into theoretical part and analytical part. The theoretical part is focused on genre characteristic and its issue, literature on which is this work based and selected methodologies and theirs conclusions. Analytical part then examines how are the women characters constructed and what influence do sci-fi and western genres have on their construction. It also examines how do the women characters interrupt these genres because of theirs structures and how they are influenced.
