Diplomová práce se zabývá rolí neziskového sektoru jako významného aktéra ovlivňujícího tvorbu migrační politiky České republiky. Během několika posledních let došlo k výrazné aktivizaci místního nevládního sektoru zabývajícího se obhajováním práv cizinců. Práce zjišťuje, jaké faktory v této oblasti přispěly k dynamickému rozvoji občanské společnosti v Česku a co nevládním organizacím překáží v prosazování zájmu své cílové skupiny. Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu je zkoumána rovněž motivace nevládních organizací - jak celku tak jednotlivců - k obhajování práv cizinců a ke snaze aktivně se podílet na utvaření migrační politiky na národní i lokální úrovni. Na základě výstupů výzkumu se ukázalo, že hlavními motivačními faktory jsou ideály a hodnoty demokratické společnosti, jako dodržování lidských práv či boj proti diskriminaci, které mají být nedělitelnou součástí inkluzivní společnosti.The thesis is aimed to reveal the role of non-profit sector, that, being an important participant, shapes the migration policy in the Czech Republic. The local non-governmental sector has recently become more active and intense in the field of foreigners rights' defence. One of the basic points, discussed in the work was to detect and investigate the factors, that stimulate the dynamic development of the civil society in the Czech Republic and to throw the light upon the problems that may be overpassed by NGOs while asserting the target groups interests. By means of a qualitative analysis the thesis also managed to study the motivation of NGOs, considered as units of individuals functioning in the sphere of foreighners rights' defence, attempting to take an active part in the process of migration policy formation both on the national and local levels. Based on the research outcomes is showed that the main motivating factors are the ideals and values of a democratic society, such as respect for human rights and the fight against the discrimination which might be an indivisible part of an inclusive society.
