Diplomová práce je věnována popisu mateřských a rodinných center, a také oblastí, které souvisí se zkoumanou problematikou. V teoretické části diplomové práce je popsána rodina, rodinná politika, slučitelnost rodiny a práce. Dále jsou v teoretické části diplomové práce popsána mateřská a rodinná centra a jejich projekty zaměřené na sladění rodinného a profesního života a na podporu uplatnění žen s dětmi na trhu práce. Praktická část diplomové práce je tvořena popisem realizovaného výzkumného šetření zaměřeného na zjištění přínosů služeb rodinných center pro jejich uživatele, a na zjištění přínosů služeb zprostředkovaných rodinnými centry. Jedná se o služby, které souvisejí s otázkou slaďování rodinného a profesního života a s otázkou podpory směřující k větší možnosti uplatnění žen s dětmi na trhu práce. V rámci rodinných center je sledována především jejich účelnost a využitelnost v této oblasti. Taktéž je zjišťováno, jakým způsobem a s jakou kvalitou je v rámci vybraných rodinných center poskytován výše uvedený typ služeb. Na základě zjištěných údajů je hodnocena funkce těchto center, jsou porovnány poskytované služby a jejich přínosy pro jednotlivé uživatele. Práce sleduje uvedené oblasti ve dvou vybraných rodinných centrech prostřednictvím kvalitativních výzkumných metod.This thesis deals with a description of mother and family centres and also with topics relating to these centres. In the theoretical part of the work, the family, family policy, and compatibility of family and work are described. Further, mother and family centres and their projects dealing with coordination of family and career and with support of the participation of women with children on the labour market are dealt with here. The practical part of this thesis consists of a description of an investigation I have carried out aimed at establishing the benefits of family centre services for their clients, and services arranged by family centres. These are services relating to the questions of coordinating family life and work on the one hand, and enabling the participation of women on the labour market on the other hand. Concerning family centres, especially their usefulness in this field is looked at. I have also investigated the methods and quality of the above-mentioned type of services provided by selected family centres. Based on the acquired data the function of these centres is assessed, and the provided services and their benefits for particular clients are compared. The work addresses the mentioned questions at two selected family centres by means of qualitative research methods.
