Zkoumá, do jaké míry může edukace ovlivňovat spokojenost seniorů s kvalitou vlastního života ve stáří a zda lze jejím prostřednictvím bojovat proti problémům třetího věku. Toto období života člověka je v práci náležitě vymezeno a analyzováno s ohledem na psychologické změny stárnoucího organizmu, s ohledem na specifika edukace seniorů, s přihlédnutím k základním cílům a funkcím edukace seniorů a k možným úskalím a krizím, jež jsou s obdobím stáří spojena. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na význam edukace pro kvalitně prožitý třetí věk, včetně její možné preventivní funkce proti úskalím a potížím stáří. Zjišťuje, kterých edukačních aktivit se dnešní senioři účastní, co jim tyto aktivity přináší a předkládá výstupy dokumentující významnost edukačních aktivit pro kvalitně prožité stáří.. -- Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the education of the elderly and especially their attitudes and interests towards educational activities of various kinds. It examines the extent to which education can affect the satisfaction of the elderly with the quality of their life in old age and whether it means to fight against the problems of the third age. This period of human life is properly defined and analyzed in the thesis with regard to the psychological changes of an aging organism, the specificity of the elderly and the fundamental objectives and functions of education of the elderly, as well as to the possible pitfalls and crises that are associated with old age. The main part is focused on the importance of education for a well-lived third age, including its possible preventive functions against the difficulties of old age. The thesis surveys the educational activities in which today's seniors participate and how they benefit from them, and brings outputs documenting the importance of educational activities for a well-lived old age.
