Inkubační chování má velký význam pro přežívání snůšek. Studiem jeho variability a faktorů ovlivňujících toto chování je možné vytyčit normální variabilitu v rámci druhu a hodnotit pak například vliv úprav prostředí člověkem na toto chování. V dřívějších studiích bylo inkubační chování hodnoceno na základě pozorování pouze malé části dne. V této práci je hodnoceno biparentální inkubační chování pěnice černohlavé(Sylvia atricapilla) na základě celodenních kamerových záznamů (n = 135 hnízd).Celková attentiveness (podíl inkubace během aktivní části dne) činila v průměru 91,7 % (rozsah 66,5-99,6 %), attentiveness samce činila 33,8 % (0-54,0 %) a attentiveness samice činila 57,9 % (36,9-83,5%). Samci jsou ve svém příspěvku variabilnější, samice nedokáže nižší příspěvek samce zcela kompenzovat. U většiny inkubačních proměnných nebyl patrný významný sezónní trend ani konzistentní variabilita mezi lokalitami.Incubation behaviour has a great impact on a clutch and species survival. With study of its variability and factors affecting this behaviour it is possible to establish normal variability of this species and to say for example how human induced ecosystem changes are affecting this behaviour. In previous studies incubation behaviour was defined just by a short observation. In this study we evaluate biparental incubation behaviour of the Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla) by analysis of a full-day video camera recordings (n = 135 nests). The overall attentiveness (portion of incubation during active part of a day) was 91,7 % (66,5-99,6 %), average male attentiveness was 33,8 % (0-54,0 %) and average female attentiveness was 57,9 % (36,9-83,5 %). Males are more variable in their incubation share. Female is not able to compensate lower male attentiveness. There were no obvious seasonal trends or consistent variability among locations in incubation behaviour in most variables.
