Tato práce se zabývá sebepojetím u adolescentů trpícími atopickým ekzémem. Ověřovali jsme, zda atopický ekzém podporuje rozvoj negativního sebepojetí u adolescentů. Realizovali jsme výzkum, jehož se zúčastnilo 62 adolescentů ve věku od 13-18 let. Polovině adolescentům byl diagnostikován atopický ekzém, zbytek tvořil kontrolní skupinu. Respondenti byli do výzkumu sbíráni nepravděpodobnostní metodou sněhové koule a záměrným výběrem přes instituce. Respondentům byl administrován Dotazník sebepojetí dětí a adolescentů Piers-Harris 2 (PHCSCS-2) a informovaný souhlas. Mannův-Whitneův U-test neprokázal mezi adolescenty s atopickým ekzémem a kontrolní skupinou statisticky významný rozdíl. Rozdíly nebyly nalezeny ani v dílčích subškálách dotazníku. Výjimku tvoří subškála Intelektové a školní postavení (INT), která prokazuje pozitivnější sebepojetí u adolescentů s atopickým ekzémem oproti kontrolní skupině. Mezi muži a ženami nebyl nalezen signifikatní rozdíl v sebepojetí.The thesis examines the self-concept of adolescents suffering from an atopic eczema. A quantitative research was carried out to verify whether the atopic eczema develops a negative self-concept in adolescents. 62 respondents at the age between 13 and 18 participated in the research in total. Half of the respondents were diagnosed with the atopic eczema, whereas the other half were not and formed a control group. The respondents were chosen via snowball sampling method and through institutions, where the choice was intentional. A questionnaire Piers-Harris Children Self-concept Scale 2(PHCSCS-2) and an informed consent were presented to the respondents and filled in. The Mann-Whitney U-test did not establish any significant divergencies between the control group and the group that was diagnosed with the atopic eczema. Any significant divergencies were not found in any of the subscales either. An exception formed the subscale of Intellectual and School status (INT), where the atopic eczema patients indicated more positive self-concept in comparison with the control group. Differences in self-concept between males and females were not found.
