Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl zmapovat historii Městského kina v Uherském Brodě v letech 1933-1945. Prostřednictvím archivních materiálů má práce určit popularitu kina na pozadí dobových společenských změn a kulturního dění v regionu, včetně porovnání s dalšími regionálními kiny. Kromě srovnávací analýzy se práce zaměřuje na popis podstatných složek Městského kina, jako je jeho působiště, správa organizace, finanční stránka a dramaturgie. Sběrem dat a archivních informací tedy práce určuje stěžejní postavení Městského kina nejen vzhledem k jiným kulturním institucím a kinům, ale konečně i ke Kinu Sokol, jež bylo výzkumem vyhodnoceno jako jeho nejreálnější konkurence.The bachelor thesis aims at mapping the history of the Urban Cinema in Uherský Brod in the years 1933-1945. Through archive materials, the work has to determine the popularity of cinema on the background of contemporary social changes and cultural events in the region, including comparison with other regional cinemas. In addition to the comparative analysis, the thesis focuses on the description of the main components of Urban Cinema, such as its location, organization management, financial site and dramaturgy. By collecting data and archive information, the work determines the key position of the Urban Cinema not only with regard to other cultural institutions and cinemas, but also Sokol Cinema, which was evaluated as the most realistic competition.
