Predmetom diplomovej práce budú formy reprezentácie Vikingov v súčasnej televízii. Práca prinesie obecnejší súhrn a vyhodnotenie reprezentácie Vikingov v televíznej tvorbe posledných rokov, detailná analýza bude ale venovaná predovšetkým seriálu The Vikings. Jedným z čiastkových cieľov bude napozerať tento seriál s ohľadom na mieru autentickosti dramatickej formy. Nepôjde však o bezkontextuálne porovnávanie diskurzu histórie a televízie. Práca si ako východisko volí prístup R. Rosenstonea (1992, 2006), ktorý presadzuje zohľadnenie odlišných funkcií a praxí ako na poli histórie, tak na poli fikčnej dramatickej tvorby (historického filmu). Na tomto seriáli bude demonštrovaný a interpretovaný vzťah medzi diskurzom histórie (historického faktu) a dramatického textu, s cieľom popísať vyššie uvedené premenlivé funkcie, ktoré môže jedna téma prijímať v rôznom kontexte.The subject of the diploma thesis will be the representation of the Vikings in contemporary television. The work will bring more general summary and evaluation of representations of the Vikings in television production of last years, but detailed analysis will be mainly devoted to the series The Vikings. One of the partial goals will be to watch this series in terms of the authenticity of the dramatic form. However, there is no uncontextual comparison of the discourse of history and television. His work is based on R. Rosenstone's approach (1992, 2006), which promotes different functionalities and practices, both in the field of history and in the field of fictional drama (historical film). On this series will be demonstrated and interpreted the relationship between the discourse of history (historical fact) and the dramatic text, in order to describe the above variable features, which can take one topic in different contexts.
