Cílem této práce je zaměřit se na charakteristiky původních obyvatel Tenerife tak jak jsou uvedeny ve španělském historickém románu El rey de Taoro který napsal Horst Uden. Za tímto účelem vytvořím tzv. kategorie a podkategorie jako například: obydlí, oblečení, vzhled atd. Dále má práce obsahuje nastínění oné populace, tak, jak je uvedeno v různých historických pramenech a vědeckých článcích. Neméně důležitou součástí je také pojednání o historickém románu, samotném autorovi a knize.The main goal of my thesis was to analyse the guanche elements within the historical novel El rey de Taoro written by german author Hors Uden. I also decided to anchor this work among its proper genre of historical novel and its sorting. The investigation was based on seek out, seperate and define the manner of guanche caracteristics such as alimentation, clothing, religion, tribes, weaponry and equipment, relations between them and habitation, within the novel and author´s point of view. For the succesfull way to find out and answer these questions I focused myself on various steps, dividing them in chapters. The first one was about the outlining of the guanche culture, based on different historicaly aprooved material. In the second chapter I choose to treat the theme of an historical novel as literary genre with some of its sub-genres that served me to further definition of the novel. Its part has the chapter that is dedicated to the mention about the author´s life. In the third I made the selection and categorization of the guanche element that is apearing within the book.
