Their task is to recognize intracellular antigen and initiate the appropriate reaction against exogenous pathogens or our own demaged cells. Because of this, T-cells are the object of the research - their reaction on antigens of the cancer cells and the potential usage of this in the anticancer therapy. The research of the relationship between T-cells and cancer cells is focused on different phasis of the immune reaction: interaction of T cells and APC, regulation of the receptor and coreceptor molecules activity and the stimulatory or inhibitory factors of the targeted immune response against antigens of the cancer cells. Currently, the reasearch is exploring mostly the interaction of T-cells and antigen presenting cells (APC), the influence of T-cells and substances they produce to influence other cells of the immune system. The intervention against one tumor cell is a complex reaction of the whole immune system. Current findings show, that using T-cells for oncological therapy is a suitable suplementary method consisting of many different forms blood transplantation with fresh T-cells, genetically modified T-cells with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), or substances that supports the activity of T-cells. The paper summarize not only the latest findings about treatments using T-cell, but also other researches and possibilities of biological treatment focused on dendritic cells (DC) or signaling molecules and growth factors important for the tumor development.
