Magisterská diplomová práce je zaměřena na kvalitu psychického stavu a životní spokojenost obyvatel žijících v domovech pro seniory. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, části teoretické a části výzkumné. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou stárnutí a stáří, sociálními, tělesnými a psychickými změnami, které se u seniorů objevují. Dále se věnuje komunikaci se seniory, péči o seniory v ČR a problematice sociálních služeb na území České republiky. Poslední kapitola teoretické části práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života. Ve výzkumné části byly použity dva dotazníky a to SUPOS 7 a ?Škála životnej spokojnosti v starobe?. Dotazníkové šetření bylo provedeno v osmi domovech pro seniory, celkem se šetření zúčastnilo 120 respondentů. Cílem naší práce bylo zjistit, zda existují rozdíly v životní spokojenosti a kvalitě psychického stavu seniorů žijících ve velkokapacitních a malokapacitních domovech pro seniory. Dále jsme se snažili zjistit rozdíly v životní spokojenosti a kvalitě psychického stavu mezi muži a ženami. Zajímalo nás také, zda se se zvyšujícím věkem zhoršuje životní spokojenost.The thesis focuses on the quality of mental condition and live satisfaction of residents living in homes for the elderly. The piece consists of two parts. The first part is theoretical and the second part is the research. The theoretical part is based on topics such as aging process, old age in common and signs which are connected with social, physical and mental changes typical for the elderly. The next things which are included in this part are the communication with the elderly, the elderly care in the Czech Republic and the issue of the social service in the territory of the Czech Republic. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on quality of living. Two kinds of questionnaires were used in the theoretical part. The name of the first one is SUPOS 7 and the second one is ?Škála životnej spokojnosti v starobe?. Those surveys were made in eight houses for the elderly and the questionnaire was answered by 120 respondents. The goal of the thesis was the determination if any changes in quality and satisfaction of living of the elderly do exist in both small-scale and large-scale homes for the elderly. The next goal was to find out the difference between men and women and their satisfaction and mental condition. We were also interested in the fact if the increasing age negatively affects the life satisfaction.
