Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaký vliv má kultura původních obyvatel Tenerife, Guančů, na soudobý ostrov. Náplní práce je tedy pátrání po pozůstatcích guančské kultury. Součástí práce je také charakteristika a stručná historie původních obyvatel. Studie kultury Guančů je rozdělena na čtyři hlavní kapitoly: náboženství a mýty, jazyk, společenský život a turismus. První část se podrobně věnuje mytologii, rituálům a víře původních obyvatel. Druhá kapitola se zaobírá lingvistickými otázkami, jazykem Guančů a hledá pozůstatky tohoto jazyka v současné kanárské španělštině. Poslední dvě části práce se zabývají odkazem guančské kultury v souvislosti se společenským životem a turismem na Tenerife. Záměrem je poskytnutí rozsáhlých informací o původních obyvatelích Tenerife a jejich kultuře. Bakalářská práce by měla ve čtenářích vzbudit zájem o bližší poznání ostrova, jeho tradic, kultury a záhadné historie. Stručně řečeno, práce by měla čtenáře přimět k návštěvě ostrova.The purpose of this work is to find out the influence which the culture of the aborigines of Tenerife, the Guanches, has on the contemporary island. Thus, the content of the thesis consists in the investigation of the rests of the Guanche culture. The thesis also includes characteristics and brief history of the aborigines. The study of the Guanche culture is divided into four main chapters: religion and myths, language, social life and tourism. The first part offers a detailed description of the mythology, rites and faith of the aborigines. The second chapter deals with linguistic issues and with the language of the Guanches looking for its remains in the present Canarian Spanish. The last two parts of the work study the legacy of the Guanche culture in relation with the social life and tourism in Tenerife. The aim is to provide broad-scale information about the aborigines of Tenerife and its culture. The thesis should arouse the interest in obtaining better knowledge of the island, its traditions, culture, and its mysterious history. In sum, it should cause the reader to visit the island.
