V rámci klinické psychologické praxe jsem měla možnost seznámit se s problematikou demencí,především Alzheimerovy nemoci a podílet se na psychologickém vyšetření těchto pacientů. První skupinu tvořili pacienti s potížemi v oblasti paměti s mírným kognitivním deficitem (MCI). Druhou skupinu tvořili pacienti s Alzheimerovou nemocí, u nichž šlo o stádium mírné až středně těžké demence. Získala jsem poměrně velké množství dat, ale pro samotný výzkum využila jen část z nich. Jendalo se o výsledky Bentonova testu vizuální retence a Addenbrookského kognitivního testu, jehož součástí je krátký test kognitivních schopností MMSE. Dále jsem pokračovala ve sledování dynamiky změn. První výsledky mi posloužily jako vstupní vyšetření. Provedla jsem u stejné skupiny pacientů druhé vyšetření, a to v rámci kontrolních návštěv v centru pro diagnostiku a léčbu pacientů s neurodegenerativními onemocněními. Druhé vyšetření bylo naplánováno s odstupem jednoho roku od mého počátečního testování.Within my clinical psychology work experience I had a chance to familiarize myself with the issue of dementia, above all with the Alzheimers disease and I was able to take part in the psychological assessment of these patients. The first group was constituted by patients with difficulties in the area of memory with a slight cognitive deficit (MCI). The second group was made up of patients with the Alzheimers disease, who were in the phase of a mild to medium dementia. I could obtain a relatively large collection of data but for the research alone I used only part of them. It was the results of the Benton test of visual retention and the Addenbrooks cognitive test, part of which is a short test of cognitive skills MMSE. Further, I continued in observing the dynamics of change. First results served me as an entrance assessment. I carried out a second assessment with the same group of patients, that within check up visits in the centre for diagnostics and treatment of patients with neurodegenerative disorders. Second assessment was planned one year after my initial testing.
