Jevgenij Zamjatin byl jedním z nejvýznamnějších ruských spisovatelů první poloviny 20. století. Ve svém románě My vyjádřil obavu nad možným vývojem společnosti. Do popředí se dostává zejména konflikt osobnosti a kolektivu, motiv svobody. Diplomová práce se zabývá zasazením románu My do širšího kontextu ruské literatury první čtvrtiny 20. století. Jedná se zejména o význam žánru antiutopie, spojitost románu se satirickými díly dané doby, s díly tzv. poputčiků. Vyzdvihnut je také kacířský princip románu a jeho spojitost s ruskou klasickou literaturou.Jevgenij Zamjatin was one of the most important Russian writers of the first half of the 20th century. In his novel, My (We), Zamjatin expressed concern about future development of society. In particular, he stressed the conflict of a person and a group and the theme of freedom. The diploma thesis deals with putting the novel My (We) into the wider context of Russian literature of the first quarter of the 20th century. The thesis considers especially the importance of antiutopia genre, the relation of the novel to satiric works of the period, to the works of so called poputchiks. The thesis also emphasizes the heretical principle and its relation to the Russian classic literature.
