Cílem práce je přiblížit emoční prožívání dospělých řidičů vzhledem k minulé autonehodě v dětství. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na období dětství a zahrnuje kapitoly o psychických následcích autonehody, posttraumatické stresové poruše a ponehodové péči. Ve výzkumné části práce se dotazujeme šesti účastníků pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Jako typ výzkumu je využita případová studie, která slouží k detailnímu studiu jednoho či více případů. Vzhledem k podstatě a cílům výzkumu je jako metoda analýzy dat zvolena interpretativní fenomenologická analýza. Z výsledků práce vyplývají tři hlavní tematické kategorie: bezpečné chování a důraz na prevenci nehod, psychická změna řidiče a postoj a formování vztahu k řízení. Díky tomu jsou zodpovězeny čtyři výzkumné otázky. Specificky okolnostem nehody je u účastníků přítomný úzkost a strach, který se projevuje v odlišných situačních kontextech. Přínosem práce je překlad cizojazyčného textu a poskytnutí vhledu do problematiky psychického prožívání po dopravních nehodách.The aim of the thesis is to approach the emotional experience of adult drivers in relation to a past car accident in childhood. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the childhood period and includes chapters on the psychological consequences of the car crash, post-traumatic stress disorder and post-accident care. In the research part of the thesis, six participants are interviewed using a semi-structured interview. A case study is used as the research type to study one or more cases in detail. Given the nature and objectives of the research, interpretative phenomenological analysis is chosen as the method of data analysis. Three main thematic categories emerge from the results of the study: safe behaviour and emphasis on accident prevention, psychological change of the driver, and attitude and formation of relationship to driving. As a result, four research questions are answered. Specific to the circumstances of the accident, anxiety and fear are present in the participants and are expressed in different situational contexts. The contribution of this thesis is the translation of a foreign language text and the provision of insight into the issue of psychological experiences after traffic accidents.
