Úvod: Tato diplomová práce se zabývá terapií Constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) u pacientů s hemiparézou. Cílem práce bylo ověřit vliv terapie na zlepšení motorické funkce paretické horní končetiny. Metodika: Výzkumu se účastnilo 8 pacientů s hemiparézou, z toho 4 pacienti byli v subakutním stadiu nemoci a 4 v chronickém stadiu nemoci. Všichni podstoupili stejnou terapii, která probíhala 2 týdny každý všední den. Během těchto dní nosili 6 hodin denně na zdravé horní končetině pomůcku, která znemožňovala její pohyb. 2 hodiny denně se pacienti věnovali terapii, zbývající 4 hodiny denně běžným denním činnostem. K hodnocení výsledků terapie byl použit Action Research Arm Test a Fugl-Meyer Assesssment. Výsledky: Studie potvrdila efekt CIMT. Po absolvování terapie došlo ke zlepšení jemné i hrubé motoriky. Na výsledky terapie nemělo vliv stadium nemoci, ve kterém se pacienti nacházeli. Závěr: CIMT má vliv na zlepšení motorické funkce paretické horní končetiny.Introduction: This diploma thesis deals with Constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) on patients with hemiparesis. Aim: The aim of the diploma thesis was to verify the effect of the therapy in order to improve the hemiparetic arm motor function. Methods: This study included eight volunteer patients with hemiparesis including four subacute and chronic patients. Each of them had the same therapy. The treatment lasted 2 weeks for 5 days per week. There was a restriction of the unaffected limb for 6 h per day. The training lasted 2 h per day with the therapist and 4 h per day involving acivities of daily living. Patients were assessed by Action Research Arm Test and Fugl-Meyer Assessment. Results: This study confirm the effect CIMT, after the treatment the fine motor skills and the gross motor skills are improved. There was no influence of the stadium of hemiparesis to the results of therapy. Conclusion: CIMT can improve the motor function of the paretic upper extremity.
