Předkládaná bakalářské práce se věnuje aspektům krásy a důstojnosti ženy na základě knihy Ester. První kapitola pojednává o knize Ester z obecného hlediska. Přibližuje nám spletitý vývoj této knihy, její obsah, autorství, dobu a místo vzniku. Z knihy Ester jsme vybrali postavu královny Vašti, židovské dívky Ester a královny Ester. S nimi a s jejich postavením ve společnosti nás seznamuje druhá kapitola. Dále o nich pojednáváme ve třetí a čtvrté kapitole v kontextu jejich krásy a důstojnosti na základě první, druhé a páté kapitoly této biblické knihy. Tyto aspekty jsou v rámci kapitol rozšířeny a obohaceny o pojetí postavení, krásy a důstojnosti ženy ve Starém zákoně. Jsou zde uvedeny i příklady jiných biblických žen, které jsou v Písmu svatém těmito aspekty charakterizovány. Závěr shrnuje a propojuje poznatky ohledně postavení, krásy a důstojnosti ženy ve Starém zákoně se získanými poznatky o těchto aspektech v knize Ester.The submitted bachelor thesis deals with the aspects of the beauty and dignity of women based on the book Esther. The first chapter deals with the book Esther in general. It introduces us the intricate development of this book, its content, authorship, time and place of origin. From the book of Ester we chose the figure of Queen Vashti, the Jewish girls Esther and Queen Esther. With them and their position in society we are introduced to the second chapter. Furthermore, we deal with them to the third and fourth chapter in the context of their beauty and honour based on the first, second and fifth chapters of this biblical book. These aspects are expanded and enriched by the concept of the status, beauty and dignity of women in the Old Testament. There are also examples of other biblical women who are characterized by these aspects in the Holy Scripture. The conclusion summarizes and links knowledge about the status, beauty and dignity of a woman in the Old Testament with the knowledge of these aspects in the book of Esther.
