Cílem bakalářské práce je představení fenoménu indonéských deštných lesů a jejich environmentálních dopadů. Úvodní část je věnována charakteristice deštného lesa a důsledkům jeho ničení pro člověka i zemskou biosféru. V další části je popsána politicko-ekonomická situace v Indonésii a její vliv na odlesňování. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na ilegální těžbu dřeva a vypalování lesa za účelem pěstování palmy olejné, které bylo v posledních letech příčinou nekontrolovatelných požárů katastrofálních rozměrů. V poslední části práce jsou představeny vybrané organizace, které usilují o snížení intenzity těžby a omezení negativních důsledků úbytku tropických deštných lesů.The aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the phenomenon of Indonesian rain forests and their environmental impacts. The introductory part is devoted to the characteristics of the rainforest and the consequences of its destruction for people and the earth's biosphere. In another part is described the political and economic situation in Indonesia and its impact on deforestation. The main part of the thesis is focused on illegal logging and burning of wood for the purpose of growing palm oil, which has been the cause of uncontrollable fires of disastrous proportions in recent years. The last part of the thesis is presented selected organizations that seek to reduce the intensity of mining and reduce the negative consequences of the decline of tropical rainforests.
