Výsledky fylogenetické analýzy podporují sesterské postavení Eurrhacini a Calopterini, nepodporují monofylii Calopterina a vyvolávají nutnost předefinovat Acroleptina. I při relativně malém počtu vzorků je identifikováno devět linií zasluhující statut rodu, což odráží nedostatečnou znalost této skupiny. Byl prokázán několikanásobný vznik neotenie a potvrzeno soustředění neotenních forem v podtribu Acroleptina. The Calopterini Green, 1949 (Coleoptera: Lycidae) is a predominantly tropical lineage of net-winged beetles and contains several hundred described species. Some of them putatively have larviform females and are considered as neotenics. Earlier studies had to solve problems with character homologation owing to the considerably modified morphology of species with the neotenic development. Additionally, some species have not been available for the analysis. Morphology-based analysis defined three subtribes: Eurrhacina, Acroleptina a Calopterina. The first of them later elevated to the rank of the tribe Eurrhacini. Molecular phylogeny of this group have not been studies and this is the first trial to present a comprehensive molecular hypothesis for this lineage. Here, I present the basis for the new classification and a modified hypothesis on the evolution of ontogeny. The phylogenetic tree was recovered using five nuclear and mitochondrial DNA fragments: 18SrRNA, 28S rRNA, and rrnL, nad5, cox1 mtDNA. The results support the sister relationships of Calopterini and Eurrhacini, but do not support the monophyly of Calopterina and there is a need to re-define Acroleptina. In contrast with a relatively low number of samples, I have identified nine independent lineages which deserve description as new genera. These findings document our fragmentary knowledge on the tropical diversity. Furthermore, I recovered multiple origins of neoteny in Calopterini and their clustering in the subtribe Acroleptina.
