Tato práce se zabývá typicky anglickými řetězci substantiv, kde jedno substantivum funguje jako modifikátor a druhé jako řídící člen. Poskytuje sémantickou klasifikaci těchto struktur založenou na jejich sémantických vlastnostech a navrhuje způsoby jejich překladu do češtiny, kde takovéto řetězení není možné. Způsoby překladu jsou nadále zkoumány během korpusového výzkumu s cílem definovat nejčastější způsoby pro případy v jednotlivých kategoriích. Výsledkem je obecné doporučení pro překladatele o způsobu překladu těchto jevů.The thesis deals with the premodification of one substantive by another which is very common in English. It provides the classification of these structures based on their semantic features and suggests the possibilities of their translation into Czech, which does not allow such structures. Those possibilities are then investigated in the corpus research with the aim to define which the most common ways of translation for the examples in the established categories are. As a result, a general suggestion for translators about the way of translating the examined phrases is made.
