Předkládaná práce se zabývá aspekty novoromantismu a poutnictvím v prózách Julia Zeyera. Má deskriptivně-analyticko-srovnávací charakter. První část je zaměřena na vysvětlení pojmu novoromantismus na podkladě odborné literatury; je akcentována inspirace Karlem Hynkem Máchou a vliv moderny. Druhá část textu pojednává o Zeyerově exotice a aspektech novoromantismu ve vybraných prózách. Třetí část práce se zaměřuje na rozbor díla, zachycení poutnictví a novoromantických aspektů v Zeyerově próze Dům U tonoucí hvězdy. Z analýzy vyplývá, že se Zeyer s Máchou střetává v pojetí přírody, poutníka (cizince), ale i v užití máchovských symbolů: poutníka, vězně a země.This bachelor theses deals with the aspects of neo-romanticism in the Julius Zeyer?s prose. Neo-romanticism is the style, which is derived from romanticism, but it has also other different elements. In the Czech area neo-romanticism used to be defined very variously and the way of using this term was also very complicated. Therefore it is so important to explain the literary style neo-romanticism. For deeper understanding we have to know the origin and aiming of the style that we call neo-romanticism. So at the beginning of the theses, we suppose that it is methodologically necessary to include a paper about neo-romanticism. There is the part one focused on explaining the term neo-romanticism and issues associated with neo-romanticism with a help of literature written by literary specialists. In this chapter we underline connections with Mácha?s conception from the thirties in nineteenth century. Chapter about neo-romanticism elaborates on its characters in detail and offer a summary of neo-romantic elements. The distinct element of neo-romanticism from romanticism is the exoticism. Therefore we used it for a selection of a file of Zeyer?s works needed for a description of Zeyer?s way of writing and his specific using of neo-romantic aspects in chapter two. The chapter three is the analytic part of my thesis. For this purpose I chose a prose Dům U tonoucí hvězdy. In this part we utilize knowledge from the previous part and we produce conclusions about particular elements in Zeyer?s prose. We compare Mácha?s and Zeyer?s way of work. We found a similar conception of cosmos and time in their works, which we declared on the motive of contrast of a death and still living nature. In the surroundings of a town we describe a romantic travelling and the symbol of a star, which we consider to be very important element. The star connects something old, antic with things, which are going to happen. Symbol of traveller is contained in whole Zeyer?s work. In Dům U tonoucí hvězdy Rojko is still looking for the way to his relationship to God. This problem with a belief is the nearest aspect to Mácha?s conception. Also emigration from the mother country connects both authors. A travelling is the way of changing of thoughs and opinions on the world. The very significant symbol is the prisoner in parallel to Mácha?s Vilém. Even though in dům U tonoucí hvězdy he is not called prisoner, it is a metaphor of emotions of national identity. According to the analysis Rojko has all his characters and dům U tonoucí hvězdy is the same dark place for considering as Vilém?s prison. Symbol of Earth is worked out more completely as in Mácha?s conception. We can find Mácha?s antithetic visions about the Earth. Homeland and kicking out of home make the space to become smaller and smaller ? finally everything happens on one space: in a house at dying star.
