(19 661 slov). : tab. -- Ved. práce Jaromír Harmáček. -- Oponent Martin Schlossarek. -- Abstract: Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem belgické koloniální správy na intenzitu a četnost vnitrostátních konfliktů v bývalých belgických koloniích (Burundi, Demokratické republice Kongo a Rwandě). V teoretické části práce je vymezen region afrických Velkých jezer a stručně charakterizovány zkoumané státy. Dále je nastíněna problematika kolonialismu. Podrobněji je popsána historie bývalých belgických kolonií během kolonialismu a po získání nezávislosti. V kapitole zabývající se vlivem kolonialismu na socio-ekonomický rozvoj a vnitrostátní konflikty jsou uvedené možné způsoby, jakými mohl kolonialismus působit na vývoj regionu subsaharské Afriky. V praktické části byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum pomocí analýzy rozptylu a regresní analýzy. Je zkoumán vliv identity koloniální mocnosti na četnost a intenzitu vnitrostátních konfliktů v bývalých koloniích subsaharské Afriky. Výsledky výzkumu naznačují, že bývalé belgické kolonie zejména po skončení studené války, vykazují vyšší intenzitu a četnost vnitrostátních konfliktů než ostatní státy subsaharské Afriky, které během koloniální éry spadaly pod jiné koloniální mocnosti.. -- Abstract: This thesis deals with the impact of Belgian colonial rule on intensity and frequency of intrastate conflicts in former Belgian colonies (Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda). The African Great Lakes region is defined and the researched countries are briefly characterized in the theoretical part of this thesis. Furthermore, the issue of colonialism is outlined. The history of former Belgian colonies during the colonial era and after gaining independence is described in more detail. In the chapter on the impact of colonialism on the socio-economic development and intrastate conflicts are listed possible ways in which colonialism could affect the development of the region across sub-Saharan Africa. Quantitative research using analysis of variance and regression analysis was conducted in the practical part of the thesis. The influence of the identity of the colonial power on frequency and intensity of intrastate conflicts in the former sub-Saharan Africa colonies is researched. The research results indicate that the former Belgian colonies, especially after the end of the Cold War, exhibit higher intensity and frequency of intrastate conflicts than other countries in sub-Saharan Africa, which fell under colonial administration of different colonial powers during the colonial period.
