Výzkumná studie se zabývá dynamikou partnerských vztahů u hráčů online her v České republice. Popisuje charakteristiky komunikace ve virtuálním prostředí a také mechanismy formování atraktivity. Sleduje rozšířenost partnerských vztahů, které vznikají v online hrách, jejich průběh a postoje hráčů k těmto vztahům. Zabývá se také otázkou flirtování a nevěry v prostředí online her. Výzkum je koncipován formou smíšeného designu složeného ze dvou substudií - dotazníkového šetření a rozhovorů. Výzkum prokázal, že partnerské vztahy v online hrách jsou poměrně běžným jevem a hráči tyto vztahy většinou berou vážně. Dále vyplynulo, že seznamování s lidmi, především opačného pohlaví, je v syntetických světech považováno za snadnější. V online hře oproti reálnému životu více flirtují ženy a také se častěji dopouští nevěry. Názory na pojem nevěry ve virtuálním prostředí se ale mezi pohlavím výrazně liší. Pro další zkoumání doporučujeme srovnání osobnostních charakteristik hráčů, kteří tendují k navazování partnerských vztahů pouze ve virtuálním prostředí.The exploratory study deals with the dynamics in relationship of online gamers in Czech Republic. It describes characteristics of communication in virtual environments and forming attractivity mechanisms. It observes the extension of relationships that are forming in online games, its process and attitudes of gamers to these relationships. It concerns the question of online affairs and infidelities in online gaming environment. The research combines both quantitative and qualitative methods. It consists of two substudies - questionnaire survey and interviewing. The results approved that relationships in online games are commonly expanded phenomenon and gamers usually take these relationships quite seriously. Another investigation resulted in the fact that getting aquainted with other people, especially those of the opposite gender, is much easier in synthetic worlds. Women flirt and deceive their partners more often than men do. But there is considerable difference between men and women understanding what is the infidelity in virtual world. For next investigation we recommend to compare personality characteristics of gamers that tend to get aquainted only in virtual environments.
