Diplomová práce se zabývá kriminalitou a lokalizací míst strachu na příkladu města Olomouc. Jejím cílem bylo zjistit, jak obyvatelé Olomouce vnímají okolí svého bydliště¸ ale i město jako celek z pohledu možných rizikových míst a tyto areály identifikovat (lokalizovat). Abychom jej mohli naplnit, bylo při tvorbě práce využito jak kvantitativních tak kvalitativních metod, zejména dotazníkového šetření a analýz statistických dat zprostředkovaných policií České republiky. Dotazníky byly koncipovány pro respondenty od patnácti let. Jelikož je Olomouc studentské město tak právě polovinu dotazovaných tvořili studenti, zbylí respondenti zastupovali ekonomicky aktivní obyvatelstvo a seniory. Výzkumná část se zabývá analýzou historického vývoje města, postavením města v regionálním kontextu, humánně-geografickou charakteristikou a analýzou vnitřní struktury Olomouce. Následující kapitola se zabývá prostorovým rozložením kriminality dle jednotlivých obvodních oddělení policie České republiky Olomouce za šestileté období 2006 ? 2012 (v případě roků 2009 ? 2011 pak sleduje kriminalitu do úrovně ulic). Poslední část práce dotváří analýza vnímání kriminality a strachu z kriminality z pohledu respondentů.The diploma thesis is concerned with crime and localisation of places of fear on the example of the city of Olomouc. Its objective was to find out how the population of Olomouc perceives the environment of their residence, but also the city as a whole from the point of view of possible risk places, and to identify (localise) these areas. In order to fulfil the objective both quantitative and qualitative methods have been applied, particularly questionnaire survey and statistical data provided by the Police of the Czech Republic. The questionnaires have been distributed among population older than 15 years. As Olomouc is the university city, half of the respondents were students, the rest of them were economically active population and seniors. Research part deals with the analysis of historical development of the city, its position in regional context, analysis of human geographical characteristics and analysis of inner urban structure. Next chapter deals with a spatial distribution of crime by the police districts of Olomouc during six years 2006 ? 2012 (in case of 2009 ? 2011 the data were available for the level of streets). Last part of the thesis analyses perception of crime and fear of crime from the point of view of the respondents.
