Tématem diplomové práce je představení Thomase Murnera s ohledem na motiv kocoura v literatuře rané reformace. Thomas Murner byl františkánský mnich a hlavní oponent Martina Luthera. Stal se proto velmi kritizovanou osobou a byl svými odpůrci díky svému příjmení zobrazován jako kocour v mnišském rouše, což dokládá např. anonymně vydané dílo ?Karsthans. Odpovědí na tato zobrazení bylo Murnerovo dílo ?O velkém lutherském bláznu?, kde se sám zobrazil jako kocour, který má schopnost Luthera a jeho učení porazit.The theme of this diploma thesis is a presentation of Thomas Murner with regard to the cat motive in early stages of Reformation literature. Thomas Murner was a Franciscan monk and the main opponent of Martin Luther. Therefore he became the very criticized person. The opponents depicted Thomas Murner, because of his name, as a cat in a religious vestment, as evidenced in the anonymously published work "Karsthans?. Murner´s answer to this portrayal was his work "The Great Lutheran Fool", where he described himself as a cat with the ability to beat Luther and his teaching.
