The aim of this thesis is to uncover the use and the interpretation of the European flag in the Czech Republic as well within the framework of the sample of the selected EU Member-states. Furthermore, this work attempts to analyse to which extend the sample of selected countries use and interpret the European flag in order to promote the European identity. Therefore, the research based on the combination of semi-structured interviews and computer-assisted personal interviews has been conducted with the representatives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the Czech Republic, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and the Office of the President of the Czech Republic.The aim of this thesis is to uncover the use and the interpretation of the European flag in the Czech Republic as well within the framework of the sample of the selected EU Member-states.
