Historický vývoj znaků a jednotlivých grafických stylů bude předmětem poslední kapitoly. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to present a genealogical relationship of fonts of the world, a close relationship among Chinese characters and fonts of the countries of Far East, and compiled the historical evolution of Chinese characters. The contents of the work is divided into three chapters - the first part deals with the overall development of fonts, where I want to point out some genealogical relationship of all the fonts of the world. In the second chapter, I deal with Chinese characters in general sense. Afterwards I focus on the influence of Chinese characters on the surrounding countries and how strong was the influence on the development of their fonts. I concentrate mainly on the Far East countries, such as Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. I want to show the importance of China when discussing the development of fonts. China was the country with powerful culture and the proximity of all these countries was the main reason that allowed the extension of the Chinese culture on Vietnam, Japan, and Korea as well. Historical development of the characters is the subject of the last chapter. I present the development of characters over the centuries - from the first discovery of Chinese characters to the present state of their appearance. I also show all graphic styles that arose throughout the history.
