There is the systematic filing, characteristics and descriptions of all orders of Ciconiiformes. Next part of this thesis bring information about microsatellites, their characteristics, information about their function and distribution into genome. Their application is widely spread in modern molecular methods and it is described there too. The experimental part of this thesis is based on searchin for polymorphic microsatellite loci in the black stork in six unrelated individials. I have tested 174 primer pairs for polymorphism and the polymorphic ones were optimized at annealing temperature and electrofiresis separation time.
