Describes the classification of mental retardation, the particularities of individuals with this handicap and variations in psychological development. It describes the system of basal stimulation, individual support, the goals, theoretical foundations of basal stimulation and the importance of touch in the lives of humans. This final work contains a description of music therapy and zootherapy, their form, distribution and the objectives of the method when working with persons with mental diseases, and case reports from practice.
