The master thesis deals with the frames that are linked to the stance of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic towards the Western Balkan enlargement of the EU. Through these found frames, characteristics of the international discourse could be analyzed. It finds theoretical basics in the social constructivism theory, as well as sociological institutionalism, that describe formation of the reality through subjective factors and impact of the institutions on agents and vice versa. Special focus is given to the identification of the way of the formation of national identity and related interests of the state. It is summarized that all of the selected countries manifest the support of the accession of Western Balkan countries to the EU in different ways, with similarities, that can be unified under common contextual frameworks.The master thesis deals with the frames that are linked to the stance of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic towards the Western Balkan enlargement of the EU.
