Zároveň musely vyplnit dotazníky NEWS-A, IPAQ, a FES-I. The main aim of the thesis was to analyze the associations between the level of physical activity and fear of falling in women over 60 years of age. The secondary aim of the thesis was to compare the level of physical activity with medical recommendations and subsequently to provide a feedback on the level of activity to the participating female probands. The participants in the research, which took place between October and November, wore an accelerometer ActiGraph GT3X+ for a period of seven days. This accelerometer monitored their physical activity during this period. At the same time, the participants had to fill in NEWS-A, IPAQ and FES-I questionnaires. On the basis of the results of the FES-I questionnaires, the participants were divided into individual groups assessing their fear of falling, and the level of physical activity between the individual groups was compared subsequently. Only four participants (16.7 %) fulfilled the recommended limit of 10 thousand steps per day and eight participants (33.3 %) fulfilled the recommended limit of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week. No statistically significant difference was observed when comparing the individual groups to each other, even though when considering the effect size (d) the results indicate a higher level of physical activity and a lower level of sedentary behaviour in the group suffering from a low fear of falling in contrast to the groups with a medium or high fear of falling.
