Tato práce se zabývá analýzou strašidel v dílech Christine Nöstlinger a Renate Welsh, které patří k současným rakouským autorkám literatury pro děti a mládež. Konkrétně se jedná o díla Rosa Riedl Schutzgespenst (1979), Das kleine Moorgespenst (1985) a Tanja und die Gespenster (1998). Důraz je při analýze kladen na následující body: jako strašidla v jednotlivých knihách vypadají, jako se strašidly staly a jaká je jejich funkce. První část práce se zabývá vývojem literatury pro děti a mládež v Rakousku, od jejího počátku až po současnost. Druhá část objasňuje, proč jsou strašidla tak oblíbené v dětské literatuře a zároveň se tato část zabývá významem strašidel v knihách pro děti. Třetí a čtvrtou část tvoří analýza jednotlivých děl.This work deals with the analysis of spooks in works by Christine Nöstlinger and Renate Welsh, who belong to contemporary Austrian authors of literature for children and youth. In particular, the books are Rosa Riedl Schutzgespenst (1979), Das kleine Moorgespenst (1985) and Tanja und die Gespenster (1998). Emphasis is placed on the following points: how the ghosts in each book look, how they actually became ghosts and what their function is. The first part of the thesis deals with the development of literature for children and youth in Austria, from its beginning to the present. The second part explains why ghosts are so popular in children's literature, and at the same time, this part deals with the meaning of ghosts in children's books. The third and fourth parts are the analysis of individual books.
