Mým cílem práce je prozkoumat funkce a motivace figury dítěte ve filmu Zakázané hry, režiséra René Clémenta z roku 1952. Zaměřuji se na symbolickou funkci figury dítěte s důrazem na její subversivní aspekty v rámci childhood studies, jako je například: narušování tabu smrti. Věnuji se motivům války a smrti, znázorněním religiozity, nevinnosti dětí, a vymezuji důvody jejich použití. K potvrzení hypotézy vycházím především z textu Kristin Thompsonové: Neoformalistická filmová analýza: Jeden přístup, mnoho metod, ze studie Eda Bensona, který nahlíží na děti prismatem doby, a Chrisa Jenkse: Childhood, pracujícího s obrazem dítěte a jeho vztahu ke společnosti. K tématu tedy přistupuji metodou neoformalistické analýzy s užitím prvků childhood studies. Zjišťuji, že skrze postavu dítěte je ve filmu nahlíženo na historické události a vesnickou společnost. Dítě je dominantou narativního vyprávění a má hypotéza je potvrzena.The main goal of this Bachelor thesis is to apply and explore functions and motivation in the film called Forbidden games, 1952 (René Clément). I explore a symbolic function of the child with an emphasis to its subversive aspects within childhood studies, for example: disturbing taboo of death. I am going to aim to point at a religiosity and a sexual innocence and determine what the main reason of these motives are. To confirm my hypothesis, I particularly utilise from the Kristin Thompson's text: Neoformalist Film Analysis One Approach Many Methods, from Ed Benson´s study, who have looking of childs prism time, and Chris Jenks: Childhood, who working with image child and his relationship to society. As the name implies, I approach to this topic with the method of neoformalist analysis with application constituent childhood studies. I find that through a figure of the child we are able to see historical and social concerns. My hypothesis about the function of the child in this chosen film is confirmed. The child is dominant in this story.
