Celou práci tvoří tři části: teoretická, praktická a didaktická část. Teoretická část nahlíží na téma sociálního hmyzu obecně. Pojednává o včelách, vosách, sršních a mravencích, je zde věnován prostor symbolice. Dále prezentuje historii zobrazování hmyzu v umění a soudobé umělce, kteří s touto tematikou pracují. Praktická část popisuje inspiraci a jednotlivé fáze malby čtyř obrazů technikou akrylu na sololit. V didaktické části je nastíněn průběh letního výtvarného tábora s lesní tematikou.. -- Abstract: This thesis is focused on selected species of social insect. It is divided into three main parts: theoretical, practical and didactical. The theoretical part is focused on the social insect as a whole. It is about bees, wasps, hornets and ants. This part is also focused on symolics. After this, the history of displaying insect in art is introduced as well as current artists that work with these themes. The practical part describes the inspiration of sigle phases of the painting of four images, where the technique of acrylic colour on hardboard was used. In the didactical part there is introduced the program of a summer artistic camp where the main topic was the forest.
