Tato práce pojednává o mongolských útocích na Japonsko ve 13. století. Jejím cílem je popis situace obou stran před válečným střetem, důvodů, které k němu vedly a rozbor důležitých faktorů, které se jej týkaly. Dále zkoumá strategie obou armád, jak se vzájemně ovlivnily a co bylo hlavním důvodem, proč boje mezi Japonci a Mongoly skončily. V závěru práce je pak zdůrazněno, jaký dopad měla válka na situaci obou stran a proč je tento střet v historii obou národů tak důležitý.This thesis discusses Mongolian raid on Japan in the 13th century. The aim is to describe the situation of both warring countries involved in the conflict before the war itself, to discuss the causes of the conflict and to enlarge on factors which were involved in the war. The thesis also includes the description of the strategies of both armies, its impact on each other and defines the main reason for the end of the war conflict between the Japanese and the Mongols. In conclusion the thesis emphasizes the impact of the war on both Japanese and Mongolian side and furthermore points out the importance of the war in the history of both nations involved.
