Jádrem této práce je vhled do problematiky žánrové kategorizace žurnalistické fotografie, kterou lze považovat za nejméně teoreticky propracovanou oblast fotožurnalistiky. Z toho ústí nemalé množství nejasností, kterým se snažím porozumět a nastínit tak vhodné způsoby kategorizace žurnalistické fotografie. Cílem je zde zjištění, které z těchto teoreticky předurčených kategorií se ve skutečnosti v denním tisku uplatňují. To je provedeno na základě rozboru fotografií MfDnesThe principal of the works is aspekt of genere categorisation of journalistic photography, which can be considered the least theoretically elaborated sphere of photojournalism. A certain amount of unclarity comes from this matter and I am trying to understand and give some acceptable ways of categorisations of journalistic photography. The final discovery shows that these theoretical categorisations are applied in daily newspaper. This is based on my analysis of MfDnes photographs
