Závěrem je popsán proces instalace a uvedení do provozu na urychlovači LHC.The goal of this dissertation was to develop the time-of-flight system for the AFP project for deployment in LHC Run 3. The dissertation has eight chapters. The text first introduces the reader to the AFP system and the Cherenkov radiation the time-of-flight part uses. Then the original time-of-flight design is described and characterized, followed by description of the development process and the experiments that guided it. The performance of the time-of-flight system is then evaluated. Finally, the process of installation and commissioning at the LHC accelerator is discussed.
