Práce je členěna na část teoretickou a část výzkumnou. V teoretické části se práce zabývá dvěma hlavními pojmy - self-esteem a akademickou úspěšností. Soustředí se na vymezení těchto pojmů a uvádí je v souvislost. Výzkumná část se zabývá vlastním kvantitativním šetřením s využitím nástrojů Rosenbergovy škály self-esteem a Academic Achievement Questionnaire. Výsledky práce jsou dále porovnávány se závěry podobných studií této oblasti.. -- Abstract: The thesis deals with the analysis of possible links between self-esteem and academic achievement of college students. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, the topic includes two main terms - self-esteem and academic achievement. It focuses on the definition of these concepts and puts them into context. The research part deals with the actual quantitative analyses using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and the Academic Achievement Questionnaire instruments. The results of the paper are further compared with the findings of similar studies in this theme.
